Logitech M720 Triathlon Multi-Device Wireless Mouse Review

To most average people, a computer mouse is just that: a computer mouse. For clients that I support in my day job, the main desire for a mouse is two things: it works, and that it’s wireless. Anything else is looked down upon. As a freelance designer that does a lot of vector illustrations and print layout design, my mouse selection is slightly more defined. It’s functionality over style. Comfort over class. I also have a habit of working with multiple machines, sometimes in conjunction with one another, and connectivity has jumped into the fray as well.

I have found my all-in-one device that I can use with multiple machines and feels just perfect in my hand.

The Logitech M720 Triathlon Multi-Device Mouse

The Logitech M720 Triathlon Multi-Device Wireless Mouse has easily been the best tech purchase I’ve made in a while. The M720 allows you to connect up to 3 devices and is fully compatible with Windows, macOS, Chrome OS, and iPadOS. So with just a tap of a button, I can switch between my personal PC, my work laptop, and my iPad Air 3. It’s a pretty sweet setup, allows me to work on multiple devices simultaneously, all without having to take up unnecessary desk space with multiple peripherals. The M720 also comes with a USB dongle, which allows you to connect the mouse to a device that may not be Bluetooth compatible.

Design

The mouse itself has a soft yet grippy feel to it. It fits great in your hand and the curve lets you rest your palm on it comfortably. The mouse is designed and contoured to be used with the right hand, so left-hand mouse users are left out on this one. I’m a lefty myself, but use my right hand to operate mice, and had no issues with this bad boy. Above the contoured thumb area on the left side of the mouse sits the three buttons. The front and middle buttons are your forward and back buttons that you’ll find on other mice. The third button is your button of power. The button that allows you to switch between your devices, which you identify with the number panel on the mouse itself. All three buttons are placed where using them is comfortable and is not cumbersome at all.

Final Thoughts

The Logitech M720 Triathlon works great. I’ve had no issues with it. Battery life has proven to be fantastic. The device itself is smooth and responsive and the transition between devices, once paired and set up is literally as simple as pressing a button. It has been great for my workflow between the day job and nighttime freelance.

I love this mouse and can not recommend it more.

Bottom line: The Logitech M720 Triathlon is truly a multi-device mouse that makes workflow and working from home just that much simpler.  I love this mouse and cannot recommend it more.
