With the latest system update, you can now pair your Apple AirPods with your Nintendo Switch for Bluetooth audio. To pair your AirPods with the Nintendo Switch, just follow these steps:

Ensure that your Nintendo Switch is updated to version 13.0.0.

Go to “System Settings,” then “Bluetooth Audio.”

Click on “Pair Device.”

Put both AirPods in the charging case and open the lid.

Press and hold the setup button on the back of the case until the status light flashes white.

Select your AirPods on your Switch.

You’ll receive a messaging reminding you’ll only be able to connect two wireless controllers. Hit OK.

If all things go according to plan, you’ll be back at the Bluetooth Audio screen, showing your AirPods list with a blue circled check-mark, showing that your Switch is now connected to your AirPods.
