Netflix has just dropped the trailer for That Christmas, their new animated holiday family movie based on the beloved children’s books by Richard Curtis. You know Curtis, the BAFTA-winning, Oscar-nominated writer behind Four Weddings and a Funeral, Love Actually, and Yesterday. This one’s all about the season’s magic, bringing together his knack for heartwarming stories with Locksmith Animation’s talent. And making things even more interesting, That Christmas marks the feature debut of Simon Otto, the genius story artist and character animation lead from How to Train Your Dragon.

That Christmas follows a series of entwined tales about family and friends, love and loneliness, and Santa Claus making a big mistake, not to mention an enormous number of turkeys!

Curtis co-wrote the script with Peter Souter, so you know the dialogue is going to be witty and warm. And the cast? It’s stacked. We’re talking Brian Cox as Santa himself, plus Fiona Shaw, Jodie Whittaker (Doctor!), Lolly Adefope, Alex Macqueen, Katherine Parkinson, Sindhu Vee, and even Bill Nighy and Rhys Darby! It sounds like a perfect family holiday treat—filled with humor, heart, and a little British flair.

That Christmas will premiere on Netflix on November 4th.
