LEGO x Star Trek Is Official. Here’s What We Know So Far

After months of rumors, LEGO finally made it official on Star Trek Day 2025. LEGO and Star Trek are partnering. The teaser shows a Captain Picard minifigure in his TNG red command uniform. The official LEGO site, which only shows ‘Coming Soon’ also drops “Resistance is futile,” which suggests Borg vibes. Actual sets are not revealed yet. “Coming soon” is the only firm line right now.

What seems likely

  • TNG focus at launch. The teaser minifig is Captain Picard, so we’re clearly looking at TNG-era.
  • Enterprise-D is the headline rumor. The long-running chatter points to a D reveal, with availability on Black Friday this year. Treat this as rumor until LEGO confirms it.
  • Borg in the mix. The phrase “Resistance is futile” is hard to ignore. Could be a set. Could be marketing flavor. Worth watching.

What is still unknown

  • Set list, piece counts, price points, and release schedule
  • Whether this starts as one Icons-style display model or a full line across Icons, minifig-scale play sets, BrickHeadz, or Ideas carryovers
  • Regional timing and exclusives

Why parents and fans should care

  • Easy win for family build nights. Trek is finally in the LEGO rotation. That means shared builds that scratch nostalgia for you and spark curiosity for your kids.
  • Display models that do not feel like toys. If this follows the Star Wars Icons playbook, the Enterprise-D could be a living room display, not a dust magnet in the playroom.
  • Collectible runway. If the first wave lands, expect uniforms, ships, and villains across a few lines over time.

I will update when LEGO confirms the first set list. For now, I am cautiously hyped. Trek finally getting the brick treatment feels long overdue.
