With my son’s current obsession with my Apple Watch Snoopy Watch face, I feel compelled to cover this.

Apple Studios is developing a new, untitled Peanuts film, which is set to begin production in 2024.

In the film, Snoopy and Charlie Brown are said to “face their biggest challenge yet” as the Peanuts gang embark on an epic adventure to the Big City. There the gang will learn the true meaning of friendship while meeting some surprising new friends along the way.

Developed in collaboration with WildBrain and Peanuts Worldwide. The talented Karey Kirkpatrick, along with co-writers Craig Schulz, Bryan Schulz, and Cornelius Uliano—known for their work on The Peanuts Movie—have crafted a magical script that promises an unforgettable cinematic experience.

Directed by the brilliant Steve Martino, the creative mind behind The Peanuts Movie, and produced by the esteemed two-time Academy Award nominee Bonnie Arnold, this movie is set to capture the essence of Charles M. Schulz’s beloved characters like never before.

Tara Sorensen, Apple’s head of children’s programming, expressed her excitement, saying, “With our unmatched library of Peanuts titles and award-winning stories that unite families, Apple TV+ is the ultimate home for Snoopy and friends. We can’t wait for you to dive into this heartwarming new adventure with the Peanuts gang in the Big City!”

Craig Schulz, carrying on his father’s legacy, shared his enthusiasm: “We are thrilled to partner with Apple TV+ and WildBrain Studios to bring audiences a brand-new Peanuts adventure. This film will bring joy to millions of fans around the world.”

This groundbreaking collaboration between Apple TV+, Peanuts Worldwide, and WildBrain marks a historic moment for Peanuts enthusiasts. I, for one, am genuinely thrilled about this charming new animated feature that will take our beloved characters to the bustling Big City—a setting we’ve never seen them explore before!

Here’s hoping I can get my little guy to sit and watch Snoopy beyond the short animations on my watch, between now and the release of this new film!
