Ladies and Gentlemen, thanks to Paramount Pictures, we have the first trailer and poster for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem, which is set to open in theaters on August 4th.

I had previously resigned to cover the bulk of entertainment-related news over on Geekasms, however, after the success of Harrison’s Halloween costume, covering the Ghost collaboration, and my desire to be a bit nostalgic on here, it kinda feels appropriate to cover a bit of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles news. Plus, I like to highlight a bit of family entertainment here, and this totally falls under that umbrella!

The film itself, produced by Seth Rogen, has clearly been inspired by the animation style and success of Sony’s Spider-verse films, and frankly, I can’t blame them. I didn’t think I would like the look, but after this first trailer, I’m all on board for checking this movie out.

The turtles themselves are voiced by Those turtles are voiced by Micah Abbey as Donatello, Shamon Brown Jr. as Michelangelo, Nicolas Cantu as Leonardo, and Brady Noon as Raphael, and are joined by a crazy voice cast that includes John Cena, Jackie Chan, Ice Cube, Rose Byrne, and more.

Here’s the synopsis for the movie:

In Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem, after years of being sheltered from the human world, the Turtle brothers set out to win the hearts of New Yorkers and be accepted as normal teenagers through heroic acts. Their new friend April O’Neil helps them take on a mysterious crime syndicate, but they soon get in over their heads when an army of mutants is unleashed upon them.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem is directed by Jeff Rowe and produced by Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, and James Weaver. The film is being developed by Nickelodeon for Paramount Pictures.

The film is set to hit theaters on August 4, 2023.
