Warner Bros. celebrates the digital release of Gremlins: Secrets of the Mogwai with a fresh trailer, delving into the enchanting origins of the lovable Gizmo. The initial ten episodes of this animated prequel are now accessible for rental or purchase on various digital platforms like Apple TV, Prime Video, and Vudu, among others.
This release follows three months after its Season 1 finale on Max. Intriguingly, the series earned an early renewal for Season 2 prior to its premiere, though there’s no news yet about the production progress.
About Gremlins: Secrets of the Mogwai
This animated television prequel to the original Gremlins travels back to 1920s China to reveal the story of how 10-year-old Sam Wing – future shop owner Mr. Wing in the 1984 movie – met the adorable Mogwai Gizmo. Along with a teenage street thief named Elle, Sam and Gizmo take a perilous journey through China, encountering and battling colorful monsters and spirits from Chinese folklore. But in order to return Gizmo to the Mogwai ancestral homeland and uncover a legendary treasure, they must evade a power-hungry industrialist and his growing army of evil Gremlins.
