DOCTOR WHO – Steven Moffat Writes a Sequel to ‘The Girl in the Fireplace’ Revealing a Twist

by Michael

Doctor Who has been having watchalongs with fans during this pandemic.  The latest episode to receive this treatment is the fan-favorite “The girl in the Fireplace” with social media commentary from both Steven Moffat and Madame de Pompadour (Reinette) herself; Sophia Myles.

In honor of the watchalong, Moffat penned a new story title “Pompadour” which is read by Myles herself, and takes place during the period which The Doctor missed on catching up with Reinette before her death.

“Pompadour” using clips from “The Girl in the Fireplace” along with some new graphics, shows that the end of the episode was not exactly the end of Madame de Pompadour.

Enjoy Steven Moffat’s sequel to “The Girl in the Fireplace” “Pompadour” in the video above.
