Marvel Studios has officially released the first trailer and poster for their Doctor Strange sequel, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
This trailer is the same that was included as the after-credits scene for Spider-Man: No Way Home. While we all knew that Marvel would eventually release this to the masses, I have to admit, they turned this around quicker than I would have anticipated.
Along with the trailer, Marvel has released the first poster for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
A few things I love about this first poster: Outside of the Marvel Studios logo and the release date of May 6, we have no other wording on the poster itself (which Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is a hell of a mouthful). They let the images speak for themselves. Along with that, the trailer and this poster are not holding things back from eagle-eyed fans. You can tell we’re dealing with at least two variations of Doctor Strange on the poster, and well, if you watched the What If…? series on Disney+ you have a good idea who that is at the end!
And that’s not all! As if a poster and trailer aren’t enough to quench the thirst of fanboys and girls alike, Marvel has also released a handful of official stills from the film, which you can check out here.
I’m excited about the film, and I’m happy to see Sam Raimi back at the helm of a comic book-based film. Between this and Tobey Maguire’s return as Spider-Man, we’re back to being knee-deep in Raimi, and I love it!
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness stars Benedict Cumberbatch, Elizabeth Olsen, Benedict Wong, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Rachel McAdams, and Xochitl Gomez as America Chavez, and hits theaters on May 6th, 2022.
