Day One has made the transition to the web!

Journaling has always been a great way to document memories, reflect on experiences, and set goals for the future. In fact, Day One, one of the most popular digital journaling apps, was my primary source of both refuge and note-taking when our son was first born, and we were spending vast amounts of time in the NICU.

Day One is a simple yet powerful journaling app with a sleek and intuitive interface. The app provides a range of features to help you capture and reflect on your experiences, including adding photos, tag entries, and more. Simply put, it was a perfectly built digital journal, with one glaring omission: it lacked a web-based version.  That is, until now!

The clouds have parted, and the Day One universal prayer has been answered, as Day One is now on the web and can be accessed by any device with a web browser!

Some of the highlights from Day One regarding their new web-based access:

A Simple, Clean Design

Enjoy the award-winning Day One journal editor with a beautiful, intuitive design. Turn on Focus Mode for a scaled-back version of the editor for minimal distractions. Switch your theme from light to dark.

Automatically Sync Journal Entries Across Devices

What you write in the Day One web app will automatically sync to any device that’s using the Day One iOS, Android, or Mac app logged into your account. While we’re still in beta, free users can sync their journal entries between the web and one other device with the Day One app installed.

Free to Use For a Limited Time While in Beta

Yes, Day One on the web is currently in beta. While in beta, the Day One web app is available to everyone and won’t count against a user’s device limit if they are a free user.

When and where that will change, Day One has not said as of yet.

The Day One web app is currently considered v1 and will not have all the functions of the typical Day One App. Audio transcription, template creation, entry duration, and a calendar view of entries are some of the features listed that are yet to be available on the web app.

Overall, Day One is a fantastic journaling app that is perfect for anyone looking to document their life and reflect on their experiences. The app is easy to use, has many useful features, and is available on multiple platforms, making it accessible from any device. Now with web-based access, it is even more flexible and powerful than ever. (Plus a bit more appealing for fair-weathered users such as yours truly.)

Whether you’re a seasoned journaler or just starting out, Day One is definitely worth checking out.
